How long are single necklaces?
Our single necklaces range from 16" to 34". A 16" sits right at the base of the neck, similar to a choker style. An 18" falls just below the collarbone, which is the most common everyday length. As you go longer, 20" to 24", the necklace starts to fall on the chest. Anything from 28" to 34" sits much lower, closer to the sternum or below. The right length depends on how you want to wear it and whether you plan to layer it with other pieces.
How to choose a single necklace for layering?
Start with the length. If you want to layer multiple necklaces, pick pieces that are at least 2" apart so they don't sit on top of each other. A good starting combo is a 16–18" with a 20–22" and a 24". Mixing chain styles also helps, pairing a delicate chain with a chunkier one or a tennis necklace adds contrast without looking too busy.
What materials are single necklaces made of?
Our single necklaces are crafted with 18K gold-plated stainless steel, silver-plated stainless steel, or 925 sterling silver depending on the design. All materials are hypoallergenic and won't tarnish or rust with everyday wear.
What styles of single necklaces are there?
