Stud Earrings Collection
FAQs
What are the different types of stud earrings?
The most popular styles are solitaires (one stone, clean and minimal), clusters (multiple stones grouped together), and drop studs (a small pendant that hangs just below the lobe). You'll also find triple sets, which come with three individual studs you can mix and match, and air studs for a barely-there look. If you want something with more detail, styles with emerald or moissanite stones are a good pick, they add a little sparkle without being too much.
How to wear stud earrings?
It depends on the style. If you're wearing a statement stud, like a cluster or a moissanite piece, one per ear is enough, let it do the work. If you're going for solitaires or smaller styles, you have more room to play. Layer them with an ear cuff or mix in a pair of ear chain for a fuller look. There's no rule, just go with what feels right for the occasion.
Are stud earrings hypoallergenic?
Yes, most of our studs are made from Sterling Silver, 18k Gold Plated Sterling Silver, Stainless Steel, or 18k Gold Plated Stainless Steel. All four materials are hypoallergenic and safe for everyday wear, including for sensitive ears. That said, everyone's skin is different, so always check the product page for the exact material of each style before buying.
Which earring backs are the most secure for studs?
Our studs use butterfly backs, also called friction backs or push backs. They're the most common back for studs and a solid everyday option: easy to put on, comfortable to wear, and secure enough that you don't have to think about them. If you have heavier studs, just make sure the back is fully pressed in for a snug fit.
