Earrings are having a moment, and not a subtle one. After years of quiet luxury and barely-there studs, 2026 is the season jewelry gets loud again. From mixed metals to sculptural drops, the runways made one thing clear, your ears are the most important accessory real estate you have right now. And as we move into fall, statement earrings are only getting bolder.
We don't just follow these trends, we design for them. Our Creative Director Keren Yoshua, who has been designing jewelry since 2008, has been tracking exactly what's gaining traction, on the runways, on TikTok and Instagram, and through our own customers. These are the 12 earring trends she's seeing everywhere in 2026.
1. Mixed metal earrings
Mixed metal earrings are becoming more popular because of how they’re being styled, especially in stacks. Before, ear stacks were usually kept within one metal, all gold or all silver. Now, mixing finishes feels natural and intentional.
For Keren Yoshua, Creative Director of Artizan Joyeria and designer with over 15 years in the industry, mixed metals aren't just a trend, they're a design philosophy. "We mix metals and combine chunky elements with delicate details; it's these contradictions that we find beautiful," she says. 'The coolest looks come from breaking the rules, gold hoops with a silver stack, warm and cool tones in the same ear. That tension is what makes a look feel modern and entirely your own.
On the SS26 runways at Chanel and Ralph Lauren, the mixed metal trend emerged as the defining jewelry move of the season, gold against silver, warm tones next to cool.
2. Huggie earrings
Huggie earrings continue to be a favorite, especially when it comes to styling and layering. And the interest is only growing, U.S. search interest in huggie earrings is up 70% so far in 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, according to Google Trends. Their compact shape makes them easy to mix and match, which is why we’re seeing them styled in stacks more than ever. Layered in different sizes, textures, and finishes, huggies add dimension without going over the top.
One of the strongest trends is a simple hoop with a delicate charm, worn solo or paired with another small huggie. It adds just enough detail without taking over the look. They work perfectly with everyday outfits, slick hair, soft waves, and that relaxed, put-together feel everyone’s going for right now.
3. Earring stacks
Earring sets continue to grow in popularity, and it’s easy to see why. Mixing multiple earrings on one ear feels styled and anything but boring. From tiny studs paired with huggies to cuffs and climbers layered together, stacking lets you create a look that feels completely your own.
For Keren Yoshua, who has been designing jewelry since 2008 and built the brand around the idea that jewelry should tell your story, a curated ear stack is the most personal accessory you can wear. 'Every piece you choose to stack reflects something about you, your mood, your style, your contradictions,' she explains. 'There's no wrong way to do it, and that freedom is exactly the point.'
4. Ear cuffs
Are ear cuffs in style in 2026? Absolutely. Ear cuffs let you create the look of a layered ear stack without committing to another piercing, which makes them one of the easiest ways to add dimension to your ear party.
Their popularity also shows up in what our customers are choosing. Ear cuffs appeared in 18.9% of the orders we analyzed, making them the third most frequently selected earring style in our data.
Today’s ear cuff trends show how essential cuffs have become to a complete ear stack. It’s no longer just about pairing a stud with a hoop or huggie; adding a cuff brings the whole look together, creating dimension and making the stack feel more intentional. And because it doesn’t require an additional piercing, it’s the easiest way to complete your ear stack.
5. Hoop earrings
Hoops are here to stay (and we are not complaining). If you can recall Jennifer Lopez’s iconic huge hoop earrings, which became her signature style around 2003, then you’ve seen how jewelry trends tend to come back stronger.
What’s different now is how versatile they’ve become. From delicate, diamond-accented hoops to oversized, chunky styles and long silhouettes, hoops are everywhere again, just in different forms. We’re seeing them constantly on Hailey Bieber, Bella Hadid, across social feeds, and our own customers keep choosing them as their everyday go-to. So, if you haven’t already, consider getting a pair of trusty hoop earrings you can style with almost any look.
So are hoop earrings still in style in 2026? Without a doubt, and they show no signs of slowing down.
6. Pearl earrings
Scroll through TikTok and you’ll spot them everywhere. Paired with slick buns, soft makeup, and clean outfits, pearl earrings have become the go-to detail for adding a polished touch without trying too hard.
What’s making pearls so popular right now? From what we’ve seen, it’s how easy they are to wear. Delicate pearl studs pair beautifully with soft waves and natural textures, while minimal designs work perfectly with the clean look everyone’s loving right now.
7. Stud earrings
This trend goes hand-in-hand with chunky metals. We’re seeing plenty of statement stud earrings make their way from the runways to celebrity street style, with sculptural designs that immediately catch the eye.
That interest is also reflected in what our customers are choosing. Studs were one of the most frequently ordered earring styles in our analysis, appearing in 22.2% of the orders reviewed.
At Givenchy SS26, Sarah Burton reinforced the move toward bold geometric jewelry with striking, angular shapes. So which stud earring styles are most popular right now? Bold, sculptural studs with organic, bubbly, or geometric shapes that make a statement all on their own.
8. Drop earrings
If you love making a statement through your style but aren’t ready to go full chunky, this trend is for you. Long drop earrings are having a moment, bringing drama through length rather than volume.
We’re seeing elongated designs everywhere, from runways to everyday looks. Earrings that fall toward the shoulders instantly elevate an outfit, adding movement and elegance without feeling overdone.
9. Dangle earrings
Dangle earrings hang below the earlobe and are designed to move naturally with you. Unlike more structured drop earrings, their appeal comes from that free movement, which adds a subtle sense of drama without relying on size or volume.
So what are the latest trends in dangle earrings? Lightweight chain-back designs, delicate charms, slim threader-style earrings, and dangling backs that catch the light as they move. They’re eye-catching without ever feeling overdone.
10. Teardrop earrings
Teardrop earrings have been gaining momentum year after year, and it’s not hard to see why. Bottega Veneta’s sculptural Drop earrings helped bring the rounded silhouette back into the spotlight, and the trend has continued to evolve rather than fade away.
Now, teardrop silhouettes are showing up everywhere from TikTok and Instagram to everyday looks, event styling, and celebrity street style. Sculptural versions continue to make a statement, while softer and more elongated shapes offer a more delicate take on the trend. Gold remains one of the most popular finishes, giving the silhouette that high-impact look it’s become known for.
11. Gold earrings
If there's one finish defining 2026, it's gold. So what gold earring styles are trending right now? The ones we see most are chunky hoops, oversized studs, and sculptural drops, warm-toned pieces that feel both classic and completely current. It's the finish that reads as effortless no matter what you pair it with.
Part of what's driving it is how easy gold is to live in. Gold hoop earrings worn solo, delicate gold studs for everyday, or a layered gold stack for something more done, it's the tone our customers keep coming back to season after season.
12. Oversized earrings
Yes, big earrings are very much in style for 2026, and they're only getting bolder. After seasons of barely-there studs, oversized silhouettes are back: large hoops, elongated drops, and sculptural statement pieces made to be noticed.
What sets this trend apart isn't one shape, it's the scale. Big hoop earrings, oversized drops, and larger-than-life studs are all having a moment at once, which tells you everything about where 2026 is heading, when it comes to earrings this year, more is more. We're seeing them everywhere, from the SS26 runways to red carpets to everyday street style. They're also one of the standout fall jewelry trends this season, since covered-up necklines put all the focus on your ears.
And yes, big hoop earrings are firmly back too, scale is the whole point this year.
